'He told me not to tell you': Concerned parents, teachers and community members in Hagerman held a community forum Tuesday at the American Legion Hall — with support from Sen. Glenneda Zuiderveld — to speak out against the school district superintendent’s habit of showering fully nude in front of junior high and high school boys, making them feel “uncomfortable.”

'ONE OF A KIND': Wendell junior a natural-born leader: Monjaras-Juarez, a junior at Wendell High School, is one of 16 students selected for an inaugural National Student Advisory Council for the National Federation of State High School Associations.

Idaho School for Deaf and Blind students struggle to return to normality after COVID-19: The school, located in Gooding, has about 133 students — 31 with blindness or low vision and 102 with deafness or who are hard of hearing. To help aid students with their mental health concerns, they have a team called the “Raptors’ Cares” team, consisting of two counselors, one psychologist and the administration.

Longtime Wood River resident opens home to sheepherders: “I would meet them each morning at their campsites with breakfast from McDonald’s and then follow behind them in my car, jumping out for photos when possible,” Knoebel told the Times-News. “When they reached their camp at Rancho Cielo — where they held over there for about a month — and I’d visit them, I’d ride a horse along with them as they checked the herd in the mountains above Fairfield.”
